David Kimberly King

David Kimberly King, age 55 of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. Mr. King was born June 19, 1961 in Buford to the late Glen and Jaynell Wills King. David loved being in the outdoors, where he enjoyed gardening and going fishing. Mr. King was the owner and operator of Lanier Lawn and Garden for 14 years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sherri Pirkle. Survivors include his wife, Luann King, Gainesville; son, Brian King, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Katie Lee Potts and Ryan Potts, Buford; granddaughter, Annabelle Potts; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Marion King, Buford; his beloved dog, Marley; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Thursday, June 30, 2016 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Merck and the Rev. Andee Courson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Thursday prior to the service. Green plants are appreciated or in lieu of flowers donations can be made to a Humane Society of your choice.
