D.B. "Hammer" Maney

D.B. “Hammer” Maney, age 70 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017.   Mr. Maney was born December 3, 1946 in Hayesville, NC to the late Don and Fannie Bell Maney. Hammer was formerly employed with North Georgia Machine and Hydraulic Repair and was an avid hunter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Williams Maney, step son, Harvey Miller, sister, Bertha Beasley and brother, J.C. Maney.   Survivors include his children, Donnie Maney; John Collins, both of Cleveland; Shane Collins, Lincolnton, GA; Milda Smith, South Carolina; sisters, Judy Chastain; Kay Welborn, both of Clayton; brothers, Jerry Maney, South Carolina; Bill Maney, North Carolina; numerous grandchildren also survive.   Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 PM Sunday, November 26, 2017 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Abernathy, the Rev. Jason Hester and the Rev. Brandon Hester will officiate.
