Debbie Dixon

Debbie Catherine Dixon, age 72, of Clarkesville, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Mrs. Dixon was born on October 23, 1951, in Swainsboro, Georgia, to Lt. Col. Foster Dixon and Mary Ethel Varney Dixon. She was a graduate of Augusta University, with a Master’s degree in early childhood education. Debbie was a beloved teacher for over twenty-five years in Richmond County. She was a devout Christian and was a longtime member of The Church of The Good Shepherd Episcopal church in Augusta, Georgia. Debbie was a kind and gentle person who loved her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Veazey and brother in law, Dr Rod Veazey. Survivors include her sister, Diane Wiggins; nieces, Hillary Sheppard, Shea Sherman, Rachel Veazey, Rebecca Scoggins; nephews, Rod Veazey, Marcus Veazey; their spouses, and various great nieces and great nephews.
