Donald Lee Nix

Donald Lee Nix, age 71 of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Friendship Nursing Home. Mr. Nix was born on January 11, 1944, in Cleveland, Ga, to the late Clarence and Bonnie Satterfield Nix. He was a member of Tesnatee Baptist Church. Mr. Nix was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Gilreath. Survivors include his wife, Janet Gerrell Nix, Cleveland; son, Nathan Nix, Dawsonville; son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Madeline Nix, Dahlonega; grandson, Lucas Nix, Dahlonega; step children, Karen Gunter, Toccoa, Jerry Gunter, Jr., Cleveland; Jeff Gunter, Gainesville; brother, Wayne Nix, Cleveland; brother-in-law, Earl Gilreath, Cleveland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ricky and Sherri Gerrell, Cleveland; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
