Donna Hicks Weaver

Mrs. Donna LeGail Hicks Weaver, age 54 of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007 at her son’s residence following an extended illness. Born on August 11, 1952, she was the daughter of the late David Lee and Ruby Lee Howard Hicks. Mrs. Weaver was the Owner of Donna’s Place Restaurant in Helen for many years and was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her sister, Denise Hicks, grandparents, Henry and Bertha Howard and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her son, Mark Payne, Cleveland; sons and daughter-in-laws, Curtis and Kim Payne, Cornelia; Darrick and Tonya Weaver, Cleveland; brother, David Hicks, FL; sister, Debby Murphy, Littleton, CO; brother, Don Hicks, Acworth, GA; sisters, Dena Blackshear, Gainesville; Diane Batson, Waycross, GA; brother, Darrin Williams, Cornelia; grandchildren, Whitney Payne, Korben Payne, Cameron Payne, Kaitlyn Stewart, Dylan Weaver, Chandler Weaver; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2007 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jason Daniell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dukes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday and from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Sunday.
