Doris Black

Doris Ruth Black, age 86, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Mrs. Black was born on February 5, 1934, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Alvin and Ethel Abernathy Thomas. She was a retired textile worker. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Black; brother, Charles Thomas; sister, Geneva Hood; nephews, Lamar Hood and Anthony Butler. Survivors include her son, Glenn Black, Cleveland; grandson and wife, Brandon and Brooke Black; great-grandchildren, Emily Ingle, Mia Beck, Braxton Black, Brielle Black, Kash Black, and Karter Black; sisters, Marie Hicks and Dorothy Jean Butler; nephew, Jeff Martin; numerous other nephews and nieces also survive. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Loudsville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Taylor will officiate.
