Doris Wesley Dockery

Doris Wesley Dockery, age 78 of Dahlonega, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018.   Mr. Dockery was born on January 24, 1940, in Dahlonega, Georgia, to the late Wesley and Martha Lou Etris Dockery. He was a farmer and a member of Town Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school treasurer for many years. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. Mr. Dockery was preceded in death by his brother, Donald and Sara and Norma Jean Dockery; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and J.T. Garrison; sister-in-law, Mae Dockery.   Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty Jean Helton Dockery, Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Wanda Dockery, Dahlonega; daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Charles Dixon, Dahlonega; grandchildren, Kevin and Jenny Dockery, Dahlonega, and Chanda and Sumner Harris, Birmingham, AL; great-grandchildren, Kylee Dockery, Keegan Dockery, and Coleman Dockery; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eunice and Johnny Ledford, Dahlonega, and Loudeen and Tommy England, Lula; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyal and Linda Dockery, Dahlonega and Billy and Betty Dockery, Dahlonega; brother, Dorsey Dockery, Blairsville.   Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Town Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Phillip Robinson, the Rev. Darin Cain, and the Rev. Roger Dunagan will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Casey Robinson officiating.   The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 P.M.
