Dorothy Jean Butler

Dorothy Butler, age 77, of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021. Ms. Butler was born on January 4, 1944 to the late Alvin Thomas and Ethel Abernathy Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Powell Butler, son, Anthony Kevin Butler, and several brothers and sisters. Dorothy is survived by her son, Michael Lee Butler, nephews, Glen Black and Jefferey Martin as well as her caregiver, Patty Gillham. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm, Thursday July 15, 2021 at Trinity Full Gospel Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The Rev. Dennis Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Thursday at Trinity Full Gospel Church prior to the funeral.
