Dorothy Jackson Parker

Mrs. Dorothy Jackson Parker, age 91, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024. Mrs. Parker was born in Hall County to the late Harry and Vicie Bell Barnes Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Parker; grandson, Chris Parker; daughter-in-law, Linda Parker; brother, Thearon Jackson; and sisters, Essie Mae Huffman and Evelyn Bussey. She was a seamstress and loved to crochet, do embroidery and sew. Survivors include son, Jerry E Parker, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Tracy K and Robin Parker, Cleveland; grandchildren, Sabrina and Jerry Gordon, Jared Parker, Kelly Ann Allen, Justin Whitmire, John Whitmire; great-granddaughters, Chasity Arrowood and Brooke Shows; sister, Ann Hulsey, Jackson, SC; sister-in-law, Peggy Jackson, Gainesville; and other friends and family. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Monday, July 15, 2024, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the service time Monday.
