Doyle Wheeler

Mr. Doyle Wheeler, age 88, of Cleveland passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Northeast Georgia Braselton Hospital. Mr. Wheeler was born on April 22, 1927 to the late James and Stella Lunsford Wheeler. He was preceded in death by son, Gary Medlin; grandson, Eric Pilgrim; brothers, Loyd Wheeler and Sam Wheeler; and sister, Lurene Davis. Mr. Wheeler was a carpenter and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mr. Wheeler is survived by wife, Gladys Wheeler, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Christine and Doug Gerrells, Dalton, and Debbie and Terry Pilgrim, Cleveland; son, Mike Wheeler, Cleveland; grandchildren, Kenitha Collins, Kim Estes, Trent Medlin, Chad Gerrells, Renee Smith, Laurie Beavers, Matt Pilgrim, Micah Wheeler, and Shawn Wheeler; and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 5pm Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from Barrett Chapel. The Rev. Van Smith and Rev. Robert Beavers will officiate.
