E.B. Oliver

Mr. E.B. Oliver, age 84, of Clermont, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at his daughter’s residence following an extended illness. Mr. Oliver was born on September 8, 1925 to the late William and Lily Myers Oliver. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Loutene Rogers Oliver; children, Gaynell Oliver, Jimmy Oliver, Glenda and Brenda Oliver, Mike Oliver; brothers, N.C. Oliver, Jim Oliver, Shelton Oliver; sister Bertha Oliver; great grandson Jathan Terry. Mr. Oliver was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his sons and daughters in law, Randy and Pam Oliver, Lula; Stanley and Libby Oliver, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Sandra and Bobby Franklin, Clermont; Debbie and Rev. W.A. Jenkins, Cleveland; Lynn and Eddie Medlock, Lula; brother Wiley Oliver, Lula; sister, Willie Mae Oliver Savage, Doraville; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and special care giver, Lori Young. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday, October 17, 2009 from Holly Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Scott Strickland, Rev. Kyle Savage, and Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate. Mr. Oliver will lie in state at the church from 1:30 P.M.-2:00 P.M. Interment will follow in the Oliver family cemetery at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M.
