Edith Muriel Dorsey

Edith Muriel Dorsey, age 91 of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her residence.   Mrs. Dorsey was born on July 22, 1926, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Charlie and Lela Dorsey Sosebee. She was a retired substitute teacher for White County Schools and was a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Dorsey; sisters, Hazel Dorsey and Joyce Holcomb; brother, Bill Sosebee.   Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Wallace Thomas, Cleveland, and Trina and Ronald Thomas, Cleveland; grandchildren, Traci and Tim Owens, Cleveland, Kelli and Todd Mullis, Fayetteville, Casey Thomas, Demorest; great grandchildren, Ashley Owens, Greenville, South Carolina, Cassie Owens, Cleveland, Bailey Mullis, Fayetteville, Eli Mullis, Fayetteville; sister-in-law, Laurene Sosebee, Cleveland.   Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. The Rev. Don Landen, Mrs. Barbara Head, and the Rev. Nanci Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
