Edith "Edye Schlandt

Edith “Edye” Bannister Schlandt, age 54 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta with her friends and family by her side due to a surgical error. Edye was born September 20, 1960 in Oakridge, TN to the late William and Myrna Bannister. On October 11, 1989 she married Don Schlandt. She was a devoted and loved mother, wife, sister and daughter. Edye loved to laugh and dance, she loved the beach and to travel, but above all she loved to love others. She was a successful business owner of Advance Pools and Spas and was a loyal member of The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, where she shared her amazing work ethic and kindness with everyone she met. Survivors include her husband, Don Schlandt; sons, Jordan Schlandt, Dylan Schlandt, all of Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Candice Bannister, Knoxville, TN and a innumerable amount of friends. Visitation will be held 2-4 P.M. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Barrett Funeral Home. Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Sautee, GA. A separate reception will be held afterward at Serenity Cellars located at the foot of Mt. Yonah.
