Edith Ruth Hullender

Mrs. Edith Ruth Hullender, age 85, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022. Mrs. Hullender was born in Gainesville to the late Henry and Ruth Emma Nix Satterfield. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hullender; grandson, Charles Hullender; brothers, Paul Satterfield, Grady Satterfield, Eston Satterfield, Edward Satterfield, and Gurley Satterfield. Mrs. Hullender was a retired secretary with Wallace Sheet Metal and a member of South Bend Methodist Church. Survivors include daughter, Linda Caplin, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ron Schmidt, Oakwood; grandchildren, David and Michelle Presley; great-granddaughter, Destiny Gunn; great-great grandchildren, AubreyAnna Gunn, Kennedy Gunn, Rilynn Hess, and Landen Hullender. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday, August 20, 2022, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.
