Edith Thomas Hunt

Mrs. Edith Thomas Hunt age 73 of Cleveland passed away Friday May 20, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Hunt was born in White County the daughter of the late Jody and Lula Mae Wood Thomas. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Shay Hunt and 1 brother and 1 sister. Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker and member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Donald Hunt, Cleveland; sons and daughters in law, Ricky and Glenda Hunt, Paul and Patti Hunt, all of Cleveland; sisters, Dorothy Stelmachers, Sara Dockery, Martha Grindle, Melanie Young, Shelia Simmons, all of Cleveland; brothers, James Thomas, Homer Thomas, Buddy Thomas, Sam Thomas, Mike Thomas, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Andrea and Nathaniel Swafford, Jessica Johnson, Rachel Johnson, Joey Johnson; great grandchildren, Riley Swafford, Aiden Hunt, Summer Hardy, Megan Gabel; special friend, Kathleen Cloer. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner and the Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
