Edith Thomas Smith

Mrs. Edith Thomas Smith, age 76, of Murrayville, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015. Mrs. Smith was born in Clermont Georgia the daughter of the late Berman and Marcell Gilleland Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Smith and was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Rickey Anderson, Clermont; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ray Dover, Murrayville; step son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Alice Smith, Chattanooga, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Kathleen Thomas, Clermont; grandchildren, Chad Smith, Michael Anderson, Tonya Archer, Christie Anderson, Kaitlyn Dover, Dena Evans, Brian Dover, Joshua Smith, Ashley Smith; 21 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson and the Rev. Justin Allen will officiate. Interment will be at Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 pm Friday and 2-4 and 6-8 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
