Edna Butler

Mrs. Edna Butler, age 103, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023. Mrs. Butler was born in Union County to the late Stan and Minnie Sosebee Frady. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pratt Butler; sons, Powell Butler and Harold Butler; and daughter, Stella Butler Kinney. Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Peggy Butler, Gainesville; grandchildren, Brian and Jenny Butler, Kim and Shane Ellis, Crystal Kinney, Chris Butler, Terry Butler, and Deborah Perry; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cayse Power, Blake Butler, Mason and Kayla Ellis, Makayla Ellis, and Madison Ellis; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Monday, July 31, 2023 at Center Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Rickey Lee Thomas will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3-5 P.M.
