Edna Blalock Gilreath

Mrs. Edna Blalock Gilreath, age 78, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022. Mrs. Gilreath was born in Cleveland to the late Edward and Ruby Turner Blalock. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth (Shorty) Gilreath and sister, LaTrelle Shadburn. Mrs. Gilreath was a retired cashier, working at Cash and Carry Supermarket and IGA. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Steve Worley, Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Cherry Gilreath, Cleveland; grandchildren, Heath and Brooke Worley, Chattanooga, TN, Darren Gilreath, Cleveland, Rene Worley, Demorest, and Ethan Worley, Demorest; great-grandchildren, Kason Mote, Demorest, Bennett Worley, Chattanooga, TN, and Chloe Worley, Chattanooga, TN; sister, Doris Jean Cochran; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Wendell Chesser; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Anderson and Rev. Doug Merck will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. Monday, March 14, 2022 at the funeral home.
