Edna Mae Turner

Mrs. Edna Turner, age 100, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016. Mrs. Turner was born in Habersham County to the late Bernard and Lila Lloyd Free. She was employed for years at Talon in Cleveland and was a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by husband, Ellis Turner; sons, Richard Turner and Allen Turner; great grandson Evan Waggoner and her many brothers, Grady, Hoyt, Clarence, Clyde, James, and Hubert. Survivors include sons and daughters in law, James and Latrelle Turner, and Tommy and Sue Turner, all of Cleveland; daughter and son in law, Donna and Ray Hawkins, Buford; daughter in law, Robbie Turner, Cleveland; sister, Helen Gibbs, Gainesville; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm Wednesday, January 20, 2016, from Cleveland First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Turner, Rev. Lewis Fortner, and Rev. Bucky Erwin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cleveland Historic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, January 19, at the funeral home.
