Edward Cleve Carter

Edward Cleve Carter age 78 of Cleveland passed away Saturday August 6, 2011 at Northeast Ga Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Carter was born in Habersham County the son of the late Ed and Willie Murray Carter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Fannie Chadwick, brothers, Benny Carter, James Carter and George Carter. Mr. Carter was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Survivors include his sister and brother in law, Irene and Jim Goss, Clarkesville; sister, Sarah Irvin, Clarkesville; caregivers, Junior and Lisa Abernathy Family, Cleveland, Jerry Gailey, Cleveland, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday August 9, 2011 at the Barrett Chapel. The Rev. Calvin Gooch and the Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate.
