MGySgt (retired) Edward Martin Groemminger, 71, passed away at his home in Cleveland GA on Thursday April 16, 2020. He was born on February 20, 1949 in Norfolk VA to the late Werner and Elizabeth Groemminger. Mr. Groemminger served the United States Marine Corps for 24 years as an amphibious assault vehicle mechanic and a logistics and embarkation chief. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict and Operation Desert Storm. He also retired from Civil Service after 20 years. Mr. Groemminger enjoyed fishing and was a highly skilled carpenter and handyman. He loved his family and his dogs. He had the ability to make everyone smile and he loved making people happy. He was very patient, kind, and generous. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Eugene Groemminger. He is survived by his wife Sharon, a brother William (Suzanne) Groemminger, a sister Anna Groemminger, two daughters Melissa (Michael) Somampong and Virginia (Angelina) Groemminger, and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
