Ellene Fain Sisk

Ellene Fain Sisk, age 91 of Clarksville, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Oaks at Limestone. Mrs. Sisk was born August 18, 1923 in Helen to the late John and Lena Allison Fain. She was housekeeper for Habersham Medical Center and was a member of Amy’s Creek Baptist Church. Ellene was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Sisk, son Jerry Sisk, grandchildren Carey Sisk, Angela Ellis Grizzle, brothers Alan Fain, Gene Fain, Clifford Fain, J.S. Fain, sister Myrtle Barrett, great grandson Corey Edmondson. Survivors include her daughter, Anna Ruth Sisk, Clarkesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Eva and James Rogers, Cleveland; Carolyn and Kenneth Warwick, Demorest; Bernice and Russel Ellis, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Arlene Sisk, Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ruthlene Fain; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jessie Mae and Homer Colston; Edith and John Petitt; Margie and Marvin Brown; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Hefner and the Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate. Interment will follow at Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Merck officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
