Elmer James Hunt

Elmer James Hunt, age 75, of Cleveland, passed away on November 12, 2019. Mr. Hunt was born on June 25, 1944, in White County, to the late Tommy and Ruby Nelson Hunt. He was a heavy equipment operator for 46 years and retired from Allied Paving. He was also a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Mae Hunt; brothers, Claude Hunt and Ronnie Hunt. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia Hunt, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Bobbie Hunt, Cleveland; granddaughter, Morgan Hunt; brothers, Ray Hunt, Bobby Hunt (Joan), and Alex Hunt. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Northeast Georgia. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Friday, November 16, 2019, at the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan Nix and the Rev. Tommy Hunt will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Interdenominational Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00P.M.
