Eloise Kanady

Eloise Kanady, age 83 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Kanady was born August 25, 1931 in Gainesville to the late John Posey Smith and Lola Cagle Smith. She was a homemaker and member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and the Goodwill Circle. Eloise was preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Anderson, Janell Bean, Willene Adams, Pauline Adams and brother Bud Smith. Survivors include her husband, Ewell Arthur Kanady, Cleveland; daughter, Shelia Carr, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Tommy Cantrell, Sautee; grandchildren, Crystal and Josh Schlieman, Jacob and Casey Cantrell, Brian Cantrell, Joshua Sietz, Jeremiah and Victoria Sietz; sisters, Ellen Duncan, Cleveland; Dorothy Spencer, Mineral Bluff; brothers, Edgar Smith, Cleveland; W.R. Smith, Cleveland; Carlton Smith, Stockbridge; 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, December 15, 2014 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Dr. Joe Vernon and the Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
