Eloise Ruby Ledford

Eloise Ruby Ledford, age 83 of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Ledford was born October 2, 1930, in Cleveland to the late Eugene and Ruby Pepper Allen. Mrs. Ledford was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Seaborn Ledford, and brothers, Buddy Allen and Donald Allen. She was of the Baptist faith and was an avid animal and nature lover. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Janice Ledford, and James and Sherry Ledford, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Carrie and Mike Vandegriff, Sautee, Jesse Ledford, Jana and Josh Bartlett, all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Reese and Hayden Vandegriff, and Weaver and Elsie Bartlett; brother, Elmer Allen, Cleveland; sisters, Doris Nix, Cleveland and Rowena Meaders, Cornelia. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 at the funeral home.
