Elva Sims Jackson

Elva Sims Jackson, age 95 of Cleveland, passed peacefully into the Lord’s hands Thursday, May 7, 2015 at her daughter’s residence. Mrs. Jackson was born May 1, 1920 in Helen, GA to the late Richard and Indi Stephens Sims. She was a member of Cleveland Worship Center and was preceded in death by her Husband Edward Jackson, siblings Annie Allen, Lili Silvers, Minor Sims, Belzie Spivey, Lorene Vandiver, Janie Palmer; sisters -in-law, Onie Brown, Leila Dyer, Ola Mae Bowen. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Larry Johnson, Westminster, SC; grandchildren, Melanie and Joe Black, Cleveland; John and Jenny Snider, Braselton; Nathan and Nina Snider, Clarkesville; great grandchildren, Aidan Black, Julie Black, Carly Black, Jackson Snider, Jaelynn Snider, Camden Snider, Maci Snider, Abram Snider; brothers-in-law, Bill Jackson, Allen Ross Palmer, both of Cleveland. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2015 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Marc Turner and the Rev. Charlie Rigdon will officiate. Interment will follow at Gateway Memory Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
