Elwanda Crumley

Mrs. Elwanda Crumley, Age 77, of Cleveland, passed away at Kathy’s Personal Care Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Crumley was born on February 26, 1934 to the late Roy and Alyine Arnold Howard. She was also preceded in death by her sister Lois Kidwell. Mrs. Crumley was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, she was president of the 1950 graduating class of White County High School, and she served as a tax assessor for White County. Mrs. Crumley owned, operated and taught classes at Cellar Ceramics for more than 40 years. She was a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church where she sang faithfully in the choir. Survivors include her husband, Riley Crumley, Cleveland; sons and daughters in law, Riley Jr. and Amy Crumley, Cleveland; Richard and Beth Hahn Crumley, Cleveland; sisters, Helen Dorsey, Cleveland; Kay Pippin, Jackson, GA; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Saturday, July 9, 2011 from Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. The Rev. Nanci Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
