Elwanda Simser

Mrs. Elwanda S. Simser age 81 of Sautee passed away Saturday June 9, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Simser was born in Towns County the daughter of the late Marlar and Lassie Seay Shook. She was a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Simser, Sautee; brother, Jack Shook, Hayesville, NC; sisters, Geneva Berrong, Hayesville, NC, Louise Moore, Murphy, NC. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday June 12, 2007 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Merck will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hayesville Methodist Church Cemetery in Hayesville, NC. The family will recieve friends 6-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the funeral home.
