Emma Winfrey

Emma Lou Winfrey, age 82, of Hartwell, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Mrs. Winfrey was born on February 3, 1941, in Pickens County, to the late Rufus and Polly Mulkey Young. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Winfrey; and son, Gregory Winfrey. Survivors include her son, David Winfrey, Hartwell; sister, Ila Ingram, Alpharetta; nephew, Scott Ingram; niece, Margie Ozier; sister, Becky Iatesta. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Josh Chatham will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
