Emory "Grady" Stamey

Mr. Emory Grady Stamey age 85 of Cleveland passed away Friday January 10, 2014. Mr. Stamey was born on January 14, 1928 in Batesville, GA the son of the late Emory F. and Belle Barron Stamey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Smith Stamey; siblings, Wilber Stamey, Ernest Stamey, Ansel Stamey and Kathryn S. Kimsey. Survivors include sisters, Dot Wilson, Marietta, Eloise Adams, Kennesaw, Ann Cain, Jefferson; brother, Richard B. Stamey, Gainesville; niece and nephew, Michelle and Shan Ash, Cleveland; great nephews, Michael Ash and Matthew Ash, both of Cleveland; 8 other nieces and 6 nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday January 12, 2014 at Barrett Chapel. The Rev. Dennis Turner and Rev. Kevin Miller will officiate. Interment will be at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
