Ernest Edwin Brock

Ernest “Edwin” Brock, age 70, of Clarkesville, passed away January 30, 2022. A White County native, he was the son of Ernest and Gertrude (Caudell) Brock. He attended Nacoochee School. Edwin was a talented artist, expressing his creativity through leatherwork, painting, music, sculpting, sketching, taxidermy and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Evelyn Brock, J.B. Brock, Thomas Brock, Fannie Lee Gravitt and Moselle York. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Brock; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Steve Dover; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan (Jonny) and Amanda Brock, all of Clarkesville; sister, Maeonia Coker, of Demorest; four grandsons; Corbett Dover, Tanner Dover, and Austin Young, all of Clarkesville; grandson and wife, Patrick and Alex Brock of Toccoa, as well as the mother of his children, Patricia Edwards, of Demorest. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30PM Wednesday February 2, 2022 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Lewis Fortner and Rev. Nathan Nix will officiate. Interment will follow at Amy’s Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6PM – 8PM Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at Barrett funeral Home.
