Ernest Delmar "Red" Loggins

Ernest Delmar “Red” Loggins, age 74 of Lula, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Loggins was born April 17, 1938 in Gainesville, GA to the late Clarence and Vinnie Savage Loggins. He was a truck driver and a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lovella Clark Loggins, Julia Sosebee Ingram; brothers, Duane Loggins and Denver “Cotton” Loggins. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Randy Wilson, Baldwin; Wanda and Lawton Hatcher, Lula; Linda and John Wingo, Gainesville; grandchildren, Brian and Ashley Owens; Rebecca and Tommy O’Kelley; Joseph Wingo; Josh Wingo; L.C. Hatcher; great grandchildren, Briana Owens; Hunter Sisk. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Kyle Savage and the Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
