Mrs. Ethel Ellen Morgan Autry, age 95, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024. Mrs. Autry was born in Jackson County, North Carolina, to the late Jim and Christine Duncan. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Morgan, and brothers, Bill Duncan, Homer Duncan, and David Duncan. Mrs. Autry was a health care sitter for many years. She was a charter member of Northlake Baptist Church in Murrayville and attended Mt. Yonah Baptist Church in Cleveland. Survivors include husband, John Autry; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Joe Kline, Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard (Red) and Joyce Morgan, Cleveland, Dale and Karen Morgan, Dawsonville, Phillip (Worm) and Shanna Morgan, Braselton, and Kevin (Weasel) and Denise Morgan, Cleveland; grandchildren, Chad (Op) and Dee Coward, Christi and Tim Welch, Todd and Bobbie Coward, Ben Morgan, Corey and Kristen Morgan, Elizabeth Morgan, Cole and Clare Morgan, Trey and Jessica Haulbrook, Megan and Paul Neese, and Jessica and Will Hammersen, 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Crook, Gainesville, and Evelyn Frady, Waynesville, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Don Neil, Fort Mill, SC; brother, Wade Duncan, Waynesville, NC; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
