Ethel Lowery Pruitt

Ethel Lowery Pruitt, age 73, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025. Mrs. Pruitt was born in Sautee to the late William and Dolly Trammell Lowery. She was a mill worker for Ames Textile. Mrs. Pruitt enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing softball. She also enjoyed playing games and video games with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Pruitt and her sister, Fannie Lowery. Survivors include daughters, Angelia Lashay Lowery, Debbie Usher, and Candace Trammell, all of Cleveland; grandsons, Zachary Lowery, Ashely Lowery, Montavios Warthen, and Avondre Trammell; great-grandchildren, Raelyn Lowery and Kylan Lowery; brothers, William Trammell and Bobby Trammell, both of Sautee; brother, David Lowery, Vero Beach, FL; and sister, Mary Davenport, Atlanta. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Saturday, March 8, 2025, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Bryan Sutton will officiate. Interment will follow in St. John’s Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 A.M. Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
