Eula Nix

Eula Mae Cantrell Nix, age 65 of Sautee, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Nix was born August 22, 1946 in Habersham County to Paul and Polly Abernathy Cantrell. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was the church pianist for over 50 years. Survivors include her husband, Ellis M. Nix, Sautee; son, Mark Ellis Nix, Sautee; daughter and son-in-law, Alaine Rena and Jeremy Shuler, Cleveland; mother and father, Paul and Polly Cantrell; grandchildren, Jonathan and Emily Rupard, Ashley Lauren Rupard, Kristina Alayne Nix, Courtney Marie Nix, William Derrick Nix, Levi Marion Shuler; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Doug Nix; Cathy and Bruce McGinnis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Melinda Cantrell; Tony and Tressy Cantrell; Fritz and Carol Abernathy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2012 from Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Dan Eller, the Rev. Shannon Rhodes and the Rev. Anthony Shore will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM on Saturday and 2-4 & 6-9 PM on Sunday.
