Evelyn Wofford

Evelyn G. Wofford, age 84, of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Mrs. Wofford was born on September 18, 1936, in Lumpkin County, to the late Milford and Norma Martin Lee. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wofford; brothers, Esco Lee, Edward Lee, and Ernest Lee. Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Minish; son, and daughter-in-law, Don and Terri Wofford; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Tommy Fortner; grandchildren, Chad Minish, Dena and Ryan Tyree, Josh and Crystal Wofford, Kevin Wofford, and Cade Fortner; great grandchildren, Aydan Tyree, Ansley Tyree, and Brody Tyree. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner and the Rev. Ernest Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow at Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
