Faye Nell Sorrells

Faye Nell Sorrells, age 84, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Mrs. Sorrells was born on September 9, 1940, in Piedmont, Alabama, to the late Eugene and Deley Cronan Martin. She worked in the transportation industry. Faye was preceded in death by 9 siblings: Ola Burton, Olene Tibbetts, Pauline Hall, Jean Pollard, Laura Dooley, Ida Jolly, Argie McKibbens, Emmett Martin, and Ed Martin. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Sorrells; daughters, Debra Travis and Tina Harrison; son, Travis Maddox; grandchildren, Rick Harrison, Greg Harrison, Travis Harrison, Travis Patterson, Stephanie Ware, Tommy Maddox, and Tara Maddox; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home located at 6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy. Piedmont, AL 36272. Interment will follow in Highlands Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home prior to the service.
