Flora Mildred Thomas

Flora Mildred Thomas, age 78 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015. Mrs. Thomas was born April 26, 1937 in Blairsville to the late William Edgar Berry and Ollie Jane Smith Berry. Mildred worked in Camp Barney and was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church in Blairsville. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Thomas and brother Edward Berry. Survivors include her husband, Leroy Thomas, Cleveland; son, Ray Berry; daughter, Sharon Hudson, both of Cleveland; grandchildren, Alicia Davis, Nichole Berry, both of Cleveland; Jonny Berry, North Carolina; Tonya Huggins, Jamie Payne, both of Blairsville; sister, Dorothy Rogers, Cleveland; sisters Faye McClure, Blairsville; Ruth Yancy, Gainesville; Lorene Derden, Monticello; brother, Harold Berry, Blairsville; great grandchildren, Emory Edmondson, Lucas Berry, William Huggins, Angel Huggins. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Flynn, the Rev. Gary Heffner and the Rev. Raymond Hardy will officiate. Interment will follow at Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery in Blairsville. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday the funeral home.
