Flora Alice Walden

Mrs. Flora Alice Thomas Walden, age 81, of Clermont passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Walden was born on April 27, 1927 in Greene County to the late Jasper Newt and Minnie Weaver Thomas. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Walden and 12 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Walden was a homemaker and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Survivors include: sons and daughter in laws: Neal & Pam Walden, Jay & Sharon Walden, all of Cleveland, Nelson & Kathy Walden, St. Augustine Beach, FL; daughters and son in laws: Audrey A. and Jack Parker, Cleveland; Cathy and Warren Weaver, Clermont; daughter: Donna B. Walden, Cleveland; sister: Estelle Tankersly, Cornelia; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. extended family: The Glenn Rider family and The Tommy Pitchford family Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2008 at Barrett Chapel. The Rev. Cecil Thomas, Rev. Michael Wilkes, Rev. Paul Flynn and Rev. Lester Haynes will officiate. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Lula, Georgia.
