Florence Helton Freeman

Mrs. Florence Helton Freeman age 71 of Gainesville formerly of Cleveland passed away Tuesday October 7, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Freeman was born in White County the daughter of the late Gus and Assie London Helton. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clifford Freeman and a brother, Terrell Helton. Mrs. Freeman was a retired Nursing Assistant and a member of Old Nacoochee Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Bevard, Cleveland; sisters, Dorothy Howard, Gillsville, Josephine Maxwell, Gainesville, Ann Helton Huneycutt, Baldwin; brother, Earl Helton, Cornelia; niece and caregiver, Donna Pass, Gainesville; several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday October 10, 2008 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Taylor, Rev. Mike Gaines, Rev. Bobby Jones and the Rev. Jerry Vandiver will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Nacoochee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. till 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
