Floyd Herman Adams had his home-going on Monday, March 16th, at Friendship Nursing Home.
He was the proprietor of Adams Grocery for sixty-four years and an avid cattleman. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Bertie Hunt Adams; son, David Lamar Adams; stepmother, Irene Adams; sister, Aveleen Adams Hood; brother, Roy Edward Adams.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Evelyn Siniard Adams; daughter, Linda Adams Byrd; grandson and wife, Jeremy and Miriam Byrd; brothers, Harold (Carolyn) Adams, Ernest (Barbara) Adams, and Ray Adams; sisters, Nell (Bobby) Helton, Sue (Charles) Simmons; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 18th, from five until nine. The service will be Thursday, March 19th, at 1:00 P.M. at Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery.
