Mrs. Frances Dalton Caudell, age 97 of Cleveland passed away on Monday, December 25, 2006 at the Oak Heritage Nursing Center following an extended illness.
Born in White County, Georgia on July 25, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Elener Tomlin Dalton. Mrs. Caudell was a homemaker and a member of the Chattahoochee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Caudell, sons, Garland Caudell, Donald Caudell, brothers, Chester Dalton, Robert Dalton, Homer Dalton, Haskel Dalton, sisters, Lessie Garner, Azzie Carlyle, and infant great-great-grandson, James Ronald Corn, III. She was a loving mother and was dearly loved by her family.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws, Annette and Emory Chambers, Ivalee and Tilford Banks, all of Demorest; Yvonne and Johnny Segers, Sautee; sister, Nettie Dixon, Cleveland; sister-in-laws, Nell Dalton, Demorest; Mary Lou Dalton, Lillian Dixon, Flora Caudell, all of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Hubert Carlyle, Alto; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from the Chattahoochee Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Gravely, the Rev. Keith Allison, and the Rev. Ronnie Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
