Frances Sutton

Frances Jean Sutton, age 76, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Mrs. Sutton was born on December 27, 1948, in White County, to the late Jack and Lou Dora Mae Henderson Fortner. She worked in the school cafeteria and was a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Carl John Sutton; and brother, George Fortner, Homer Fortner, Clark Fortner and Lenard Fortner. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Jim Barnaby, Cleveland; grandchildren, Erin and Josiah Swing, and Adam Ramey; great-grandchildren, Colin Reid Swing, Colton Ramey, Sailor Ramey, and Sadie Mae Swing; sister brother-in-law, Shirley and J.C. Sutton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Dave and Virginia Fortner, Judy Fortner and Tim and Edna Fortner. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Will Fuller, the Rev. Michael Clark, the Rev. Chris Blocker, the Rev. Lewis Fortner, the Rev. Raymond Fortner, and the Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park at a later date. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 2:45 P.M.
