Frank Paul Douglass

October 30, 1970 — November 23, 2023

Frank Paul Douglass II On November 24, 2023, Frank Paul Douglass II left this world after a lengthy illness. Frank was born on October 30, 1970 to David Randles Douglass Jr. and Anita Nix Douglass in Denver Colorado. Frank was a resident of Jacksonville FL where he worked as a successful plastic/paper salesman for International Paper until he became unable to work six years ago. Frank was very proud of his five years of service to his country as a United States Marine. He epitomized the adage, “Once a marine, always a marine.” Frank attended Subiaco Academy, a Catholic school for boys, in Arkansas during his high school years. He maintained a close relationship with his alma mater and was working on setting up a charity there in honor of Fr. Gregory Pilcher. He intended the charity to provide the resources for training the resident monks in handling trauma. Frank also was active in the Knights of St. Lazarus, which is a charitable order. Always a faithful, practicing Catholic, over the past several years, Frank developed a close relationship with Jesus and his love of Jesus was apparent to those of us close to him. He talked a great deal, especially in the last weeks and days, about Jesus. He believed Jesus was with him and he expressed his gratitude many times for Jesus and all He had done for him. He told his family numerous times that if Jesus wanted to take him, he was ready to go. He was especially comforted by the crucifix on his hospital room wall. He was so tired and Jesus has given him rest. Frank was preceded in death by his father, David Randles Douglass Jr., two stillborn children, his grandparents, uncles and aunts, and cousins. He is survived by: Son, Chea Douglass; Daughter, Isabella Douglass; Grandchildren: Orion Douglass, Aurora Douglass, Anastasia Douglass; Mother, Anita Brackett; Step-father, Andy Brackett; Brother, Lloyd Wylie; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Many friends in many states also survive.
