Franklin Dale Cathey

Mr. Franklin Dale Cathey age 64 of Cleveland passed away Sunday May 11, 2008 at BJC Hospital in Commerce. Mr. Cathey was born in Habersham County and lived most of his life in White County. He was a retired Georgia State Trooper, a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and a member of Chattahoochee United Methodist Church. Mr. Cathey was preceded in death by his father, William Frank Cathey and brother, Tim Hunter. Survivors include son and daughter in law, Melvin and Candace Cathey, Cleveland; daughter and son in law, Jill and David Parks, Cleveland; daughter, Amy Cathey, Cleveland; mother, Ethelene Hunter, Helen; brother, Glen Cathey, Cleveland; grandchildren, Carla Cathey, Austin Cathey, Morgan Partin, Kody Partin, all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 13, 2008 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Summers will officiate. Burial will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
