Fred Johnson Savage

Fred Johnson Savage, age 89, of Dahlonega, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. Mr. Savage was born on October 30, 1933, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late George and Lilly Burke Savage. He was the owner of Nix Tank Co. and a member of Community Chapel Church. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Savage; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Shane and Sandy Savage; granddaughter, Shailey Nicole Savage; several brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon, Sunday, March 5, 2023, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Community Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
