Freddie Lois Wade

Freddie Lois Wade, age 93, of the Leaf community, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026. 

Graveside services are scheduled for 12 noon Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Macedonia Leaf Community Church, with the Reverend Garvis Kinsey officiating. 

Freddie was born in the Blue Creek community of White County, the sixth of seven daughters born to Fred Candler Wike and Ada Black Wike. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, and her six sisters, Maver Hall, Obie Alexander, Winnie Winter, Iva Lee Wike, Tommy Chambers and Eddy Jackson. 

Freddie was known for her quick wit, outgoing personality, and her positive attitude. She was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Employed by Ames Textile and Talon Manufacturing in her early years, she later became a devoted caretaker for her husband, Roy, her mother, and her sister, Iva Lee. After the completion of her caretaking duties, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, serving as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and traveling the United States with her special niece, Pat Motes. 

Left to cherish her memory are son, Larry Wade (Leslie); daughter, Vicki Chambers (Bill); grandchildren Seth Chambers (Christie), Jennifer Ridlehoover (Daniel), Allen Wade, Elizabeth Pfister (Tim), Joey Ledford (Hope); great grandchildren Finlee, West, and Cora Ridlehoover, Candler and Everly Chambers, Hannah Whitsel (Nathan), Will Hammonds, and Ethan Pfister. 

The family expresses their deep appreciation for the loving care provided by dear friend, Debbie Holcomb, and the amazing team at Amedisys Hospice Care, Toccoa, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Macedonia Leaf Community Church, 8578 Duncan Bridge Road, Cleveland, Ga.30528.
