Gary Lee Cabe Sr.

Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Gary Lee Cabe Sr., of Cleveland. Gary passed away peacefully Friday, May 25, 2018. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Eastview Memorial Park in Knoxville, TN.       Gary was born in Knoxville, TN on February 11, 1951 to the late Gerald DeWitt Cabe and Virginia Lee Carroll Cabe and had lived in White County for the past eight years, moving from Culbert, Georgia. He was retired from the University of Georgia in Athens, where he had spent several years as a locksmith. Gary's real passion, however was music, he was a professional musician, playing for such entertainers as David Houston and Jenny Pruitt as well as a host of other Grand Ole Opry performers.     Survivors include his daughter, Tennille Marie Dobbs (Brad) of Cleveland; son, Gary Lee Cabe Jr of Ila, GA; grandchildren, Chase, Grayson, Tanner, Charity and Dylan; great grandchildren, Benny, Marissa and Jazelyn.     To share a memory of Gary or to send a condolence, please visit http://www.barrettfh.com.     Barrett Funeral Home of charge of arrangements (706)865-3101.
