Gay Usher

Gay Usher, age 84, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024. Mrs. Usher was born in Hall County to the late Hoyt and Esco Satterfield Sosebee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Rodney Usher. Mrs. Usher was a Payroll Clerk at Talon and was of the Baptist Faith. She loved to work in her flower garden and was an avid reader. Mrs. Usher loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Survivors include husband of 67 years, Charles Usher, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Angela Usher; daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Bobby Allen; daughter, Pam Wright; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hoyt and Donna Sosebee, Jr. and Randy and Karen Sosebee; grandchildren, Jennifer Wimpy, Shea Ray (Chad), Holli Usher, Jeremy Usher (Latisha), Chad Usher (Kelly), Kayla Allen-Taylor (Sam), Jacob Usher, and Kara Usher; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Grizzle and Rev. Chad Usher will officiate. Yonah View Memorial Gardens will be her final resting place. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon – 2P.M. Wednesday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
