Geneva Shook Berrong

Geneva Shook Berrong, age 84 of Hayesville, NC, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Clay County Care Center in Hayesville, NC. Mrs. Berrong was born February 23, 1930 in Towns County to the late Marler and Lassie Shook. She was beautician and was preceded in death by her husband Lester Berrong, siblings Odell Shook, William Otus Shook, Christine Shook Cotten, Louise Shook Moore, Hayes Shook, Clarence Shook, Elwanda Shook Simpser and Jack Shook. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Woods Grove Baptist Church, Young Harris, GA. The Rev. Jimmy Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow at Hayesville Methodist Church Cemetery, Hayesville, NC. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday at Woods Grove Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.
